Dear Giorgos

We have finally arrived in Boston after a trip home that included a long stopover in London, so I have had LOTS of time to think about the Petali Village, and how very much we loved staying with you.
After many years of recommending the Petali Village to family and friends who needed a hotel in Sifnos (in the past we have stayed at Airbnbs and villas - now I am not sure why!), I finally realised that I needed to take my own advice and stay with you, and now I know that I will never choose anywhere else.
I am deeply grateful for all of these amazing things at the Petali:
* Your personal attention and care to every aspect of life at the hotel.
* Zisis and his kind and welcoming way which, over and over, I watched give guests - and myself! - a sense of calm and control and kindness. Nothing seemed too much for him to handle, help with, advise on, even when I asked the silliest of questions. I know you know this, but you could not have a more perfect person to represent your special place.
* Angela and her quiet and competent way of dealing with everyone and everything from breakfast through to the very end of the day. She was ALWAYS right there to help and make sure that we had what we needed, even anticipating what we might need many times!
* The efficient, quiet and kind cleaning ladies who made our rooms so lovely every day.
* The grounds staff who are constantly working to maintain a high standard and presentation.
* Smiling Evie and the cats, especially Mama and her babies. How lucky they are to live at the Petali year round!
* And finally, the hotel itself. I know that a hotel is just a building or series of buildings, but one feels the character of the Petali immediately, and when I arrived I felt at home. Such a feeling about a hotel is unique in a world where so often things look exactly the same and outstanding service is rare.
All of this helps to make the Petali Village the most glorious place and experience, but they are so hard to achieve. I know this because as a family we have some experience in the travel service industry and we absolutely know what it takes. My brother Fizz has his own successful travel transportation company in Naples Florida and both of us were born into hotels. Finally, my husband John, who you met, is a resorts and hotels photographer working throughout the US, Caribbean and Europe. So, we know!
This letter is perhaps too long, but I really wanted to let you know my feelings and express my gratitude for our wonderful time at the Petali Village.

“This hotel is really a hidden gem in beautiful Sifnos! The staff is amazing, the shuttle service from the port is included( very valuable). Our room had an awesome view on the cute village of Apollonia. Many restaurants/bars/shops by a 5mn walk. Would definitely come back here!”

“Το πρωινό εξαιρετικό με φοβερή Θεα και υπέροχη εξυπηρέτηση !!!Δεν έχουμε λόγια για το ποσο καθαρά ήταν τα δωμάτια ποσο μας πρόσεχαν όλοι στο ξενοδοχείο και η ευγένεια και το χαμόγελο όλων σε κάθε μας ερώτηση η επιθυμία μας έκανε να λέμε ποτε θα ξανά έρθουμε!! Ο Κος Γιώργος ο ιδιοκτήτης άψογος σε όλα του , Ο Ζησης στην υποδοχή εξαιρετικός με την ευγένεια και την άμεση λύση σε ότι χρειαστείς για το νησί. Όσο αφορά το υπόλοιπο προσωπικό απλά Τέλειοι!! “Très sympathique hôtel, avec une très belle situation au dessus de Apolonia. L'accueil est parfait. La chambre est spacieuse avec une belle terrasse. Le lit est très confortable et le linge de toilette de qualité. Petit déjeuner excellent”

Ein Ort zum Wohlfühlen!!

“Eine wunderschöne Hotelanlage, die fließend in den kleinen Ort übergeht und somit keinen Fremdkörper darstellt. Sehr angenehme, familiäre Betreuung, das Frühstücksbuffet war auch unter Coronabedingungen einfach ausgezeichnet. Die Zimmer waren sauber und schön eingerichtet, von Balkon, Pool und Frühstücksterrasse hatte man einen tollen Blick auf den Ort Apollonia, der durch einen Minispaziergang durch malerische Gassen problemlos zu erreichen war. Wir haben uns so wohlgefühlt, nächstes Frühjahr werden wir wieder dort sein und dann noch etwas länger bleiben.”

“Excellent hôtel avec un très bon avide tout le personnel. Les chambres sont spacieuses, le lit très confortable et le linge de toilette de qualité. Chaque chambre dispose d'une belle terrasse avec vue sur le village. Village accessible à pied par les ruelles en 5 mn. Le petit déjeuner devis en extérieur est copieux, varié et frais. Vraiment un hôtel comme on aimerait en trouver partout.”

Perfect location with beautiful mountain view

“The room was beautifully designed and decorated, spacious and very clean with a nearly king sized bed and a nice balcony overlooking the town and mountain. It is very peaceful aside from hearing the occasional rooster in the area, making it feel very much in the country yet in the heart of everything. Breakfast was plentiful and fresh with great service. We used the pool daily after our hikes in the area.”
